Aston Martin DB4 – 1962 – only automatic example from new

Built in 1962 but first registered on January 1st 1963, this is the only DB4 to have been fitted with an automatic gearbox from new.

Having been left in a garage for over 20yrs and serving as a home for the guard dog and and a family of rats, this DB4 was rescued in 1996 by Mr N Hunt who first saw the same car back in 1963. Mr Hunt them completed a full body-off restoration (including the removal of dead rats!)

1st Owner – Slater & Cox Ltd – 1963

2nd Owner – Ralph Bolton Ltd

3rd Owner – Mr J P Law 1975 – 1996

4th Owner – Mr N Hunt – 1996 – 2004

Current Owner 2004 – Present

The car underwent a full RS Williams rebuild in 2004 to include engine upgrade to 4.7ltr and 4 speed automatic gearbox upgrade retaining the column change
