The name RS Williams is synonymous with performance, as demonstrated through club and historic racing, as well as the Aston Martin factory World Sports Car Championship team. The team competed in the 1989 season with the AMR1 race car.
We have over 55 years of experience in engineering and motor racing. Explore our history and see how we've made our mark.
We offer various race support options to our clients, ranging from consultancy to full race circuit support. We frequently provide engines and other services for important models, such as the DB4GT, DB4GT Zagato, DBR1, and DBR2, at events like the Goodwood Revival, Silverstone Classic, Tour Auto, and Le Mans Classic.
Our experience spans every generation of Aston Martin from DBR1 to DB7 including DBR2, DB3S, DB4 Lightweights, Project cars such as 212, and of course the AMR1.
We regularly attend race meetings and run important historic race cars such as DB4GTs, DB4GT Zagatos, DBR1s, and DBR2s. Some of the regular events we participate in include Goodwood Revival, Silverstone Classic, Le Mans Classic, and Tour Auto.
With our many important wins with cars that we have prepared and supported at various circuits around the world, we offer a complete and comprehensive package to anyone willing to put their foot on the pedal.
In 2008, with Michael Mallock at the wheel, we entered an AM N24 into the GT4 European Cup. In our inaugural year, our N24 Vantage competed against BMW, Corvette, Nissan's 350Z, and Ford's Mustang. We achieved four pole positions and four podium finishes.
In 2009, we upgraded the N24 to GT4 Vantage specification in response to the arrival of Porsche's 997, Maserati's GranTurismo, and Ginetta's G50. Our car achieved two pole positions and six podium finishes, including a double win at Spa. Although we narrowly missed the top spot by just 2 points, Michael Mallock's remarkable drives helped us finish 3rd in the team championship.
Our advanced facilities enable our team to perform all necessary work on your vehicle to the highest standard.
We produce many unique reproduction and upgrade parts in-house and have our own fully equipped Machine Shop with facilities including:
CNC Machining – economically programmable for one-offs or small batch production.
Manufacture of unobtainable components.
Line boring of main bearing and camshaft housings.
Welding, bracing and re-machining of corroded and cracked cylinder blocks.
Manufacture of RS Williams developed components for road and race application.
We have four separate workshops that specialise in servicing, repairing, and upgrading classic Aston Martins. Each workshop focuses on a particular area of expertise:
Diagnosis, service, repair, fitment, upgrade, and enhancement of current and older style air conditioning systems.
Age-related care for braking systems.
High-quality engine tuning and refinement, thanks to our racing background and extensive experience with Aston Martin refinement.
Body and chassis repair of all types, from minor cosmetic fixes to full body-off, bare metal restorations.
Craftsman diagnosis, including troubleshooting unwanted noises, intermittent faults, and electrical problems.
Our climate-controlled engine building workshop rebuilds engines to the highest standards, including unleaded fuel conversion, full rebuilds, and race development. Our in-house engineers perform component machining, ensuring that the finished product meets our exacting standards. Every unit is tested on our own dynamometer by the same person who built your engine. We offer engine rebuilds with standard upgrades or our 4.2-litre or 4.7-litre conversion for six-cylinder units and our 5.7-litre or 7-litre upgrade, carburetted or fuel-injected, for V8 engines.
Our exceptional standard of assembly ensures reliable Aston Martin electricals, using original specification connectors and extra preventative measures. We provide the following services to our clients:
Discreet in-car entertainment packages.
Upgrades to instrument illumination and headlights.
Uprated charging systems.
Fire safety and extinguishing systems.
We take pride in the quality of our workmanship, which is reflected in the exceptional cars we stock. To showcase them in the best possible way, we have a modest 6-car showroom at the front of our premises.
Balancing rotating components is crucial for smooth and efficient operation. Vibration leads to energy waste and power loss. Our dynamic balancing machine with three reading heads and a digital display can balance crankshafts, flywheels, clutches, and brake discs perfectly.
Our dedicated cylinder head workshop’s facilities include:
Computerised valve seat cutting.
Hand-crafted inlet and exhaust ports and combustion chambers.
Performance and competition cylinder head development.
In our fabrication workshop we relish providing the following services:
Specialist AC/DC TIG Welding.
Gas welding, brazing and soldering.
Aluminium Fuel Tanks manufactured and modified.
Mounting brackets, battery carriers, chassis components, sump baffles etc.
Welding and repair of damaged aluminium castings.
Manufacture of special components to customer requirements.
Cylinder block and head refurbishment and strengthening.
