RS Williams are pleased to offer here for sale a fantastic example of an early DB6 from 1966, in stunning condition with extensive and recent work carried out this car has a full and traceable history of all owners and work carried out since it was first built in 1966.
First registered in April 1966 this early example of a DB6, was first owned by a Mr Sidney Norman. A well known Aston Martin owner of the time, Mr Norman purchased many new Astons during this era and was a frequent visitor to the Newport Pagnell factory to see his cars under construction. Having owned the car from new Mr Norman sold the car 2 years later to a Mr White who kept and enjoyed this car for 12 years. It seems that Mr Norman had a particular soft spot for this DB6 however, as when Mr White came to sell the car in 1979 Mr Norman repurchased it from him and immediately instructed Aston Martin to restore this car to 'as new' condition. Enjoying the car for several years since its recommissioning, Mr Norman then parted ways with the car again and it was sold to Prince Mohammed Khalifa of the Bahrain royal family. From here the car changed hands a few more times before arriving with its current owner who has been custodian of this DB6 since 2015.
In 2014 RS Williams carried out a mechanical overhaul and refurbishment of this car. This car underwent a complete mechanical overhaul during which the engine was rebuilt to our 4.2 litre specification, the car was converted from automatic to manual and the drivetrain and suspension were rebuilt. Cosmetically, the interior was removed, refurbished and refitted with new carpets and front and rear bumpers were re-chromed. The bodywork was also repainted to Black Pearl, from its factor original Dubonnet Red, giving this DB6 a striking and desirable combination of Black Pearl over Tan.
Since the restorative work was carried out, RS Williams have been the solely responsible for the maintenance of this DB6 with frequent MOTs and servicing carried out here. As expected this DB6 is accompanied by a comprehensive history file documenting all recent work carried out and extensively covering its history from the day it was built. This DB6 marks a fantastic opportunity to acquire an early and well documented example of one of Aston Martin's most desirable models.
