February 1977 heralded the arrival of the Aston Martin V8 Vantage.
The first batch of cars (16) featured a rear spoiler that was added after the body was built and the bonnet air intake sealed with a bolt on cover. This early run of cars is often referred to as ‘Bolt-on’ Vantages.
Starting with chassis 11815, the following 23 Vantages featured the rear spoiler made integral to the body and the opening in the bonnet air intake welded shut during production. This run of cars is often called ‘Fliptail’ Vantages.
This superb example is one such ‘Fliptail’
Orchard Green with Magnolia piped Green, this example has been loved and used for the last 32yrs by its previous owner and is now heading for a full RS Williams restoration to the ultimate RSW specification.
RS Williams currently maintains 7 of the 23 Fliptail Vantages produced.
